What data and why

  • Booking: name, email, phone number, number of participants, chosen room and time. We use them to carry out and manage your booking and contact you about it. Basis: performance of the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Gift cards: name, email and payment details. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Basis: performance of the contract (point (b)).
  • Enquiries: what you send us by email, phone or social media, so we can reply. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (point (f)) or contract (point (b)).
  • Statistics and marketing on the site: Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are used only if you have given consent in the cookie banner (point (a)). See the cookie policy.
  • Visitor statistics: Vercel Web Analytics counts visits and page views without cookies. It uses a temporary, anonymised code that cannot be traced back to you and is deleted within a day. Basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (point (f)).
  • Ad measurement: when a booking is completed, we send an encrypted (hashed) version of your email, phone number and name together with the booking value to Meta, so we can measure whether our ads work. Meta cannot read this information in plain text. Basis: our legitimate interest in measuring our marketing (point (f)). You can object at any time by writing to us.
  • Bookkeeping: details of purchases and payments are kept because the Danish Bookkeeping Act requires it. Basis: legal obligation (point (c)).

Who we share with

We never sell your data. We use these providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:

  • Off The Couch — booking and gift card system.
  • Stripe — gift card payments.
  • Google — statistics (Google Analytics) and ads.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — ads and ad measurement.
  • Vercel — website hosting and cookieless visitor statistics.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of the providers, including Google, Meta, Stripe and Vercel, may process data in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

Booking details are kept for as long as needed to handle the booking and any questions afterwards. Data that forms part of our bookkeeping is kept for 5 years after the end of the financial year. Enquiries are deleted when no longer relevant. Statistics in Google Analytics are deleted after 14 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also have the processing restricted, object to it and receive your data (data portability). If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email us to exercise your rights.

If you are unhappy with how we process your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark (datatilsynet.dk).
