Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They're used to make pages work, remember your choices and — if you give consent — for statistics and marketing.

Your consent

The first time you visit the site, a banner asks whether you'll accept statistics and marketing cookies. If you choose “Only necessary”, no such cookies are set. If you choose “Accept”, they're activated. Your choice is stored in a necessary cookie (cd_consent) for 12 months so we don't ask again.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page. Statistics and marketing cookies are then deleted and the banner appears again.

Necessary cookies

These are required for the site to work and are set without consent:

• cd_consent — remembers your cookie choice (duration: 12 months).
• otc_utm_source / otc_utm_medium / otc_utm_campaign — remember where a visit came from so it carries into a booking (duration: 30 days).
• Booking and payment are handled by Off The Couch and Stripe in an embedded module. They set the cookies necessary to complete a payment securely.

Visitor statistics without cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, page views and where visitors come from. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and we cannot see who you are. It therefore also runs if you choose “Only necessary”.

Statistics and marketing (consent only)

The following load only if you have accepted:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google) — anonymised statistics about how the site is used so we can improve it. Sets _ga cookies, among others.
• Meta Pixel (Meta/Facebook) — measures the effect of our ads. Sets _fbp cookies, among others.

Third parties

The site embeds services from Off The Couch (booking and gift cards), Stripe (payment), Google (statistics) and Meta (marketing). These process data under their own privacy policies.
